Generic information

UCS provides an Active Directory compatible domain contoller based on Samba 4. Compatiblity to Active Directory is part of the product functionality, for details see the product documentation.

The software described here was choosen randomly based on experiences in projects with UCS to give examples of often used services.

For some environments the Active Directory Connection offers alternative scenarios to integrate or synchronize with MS Active Directory.
