Maintenance Cycles

This article describes the maintenance cycles for Univention products.
A product version maintenance cycle begins with the public release. The product version is delivered with updates as part of the Univention maintenance. At the end of a maintenance cycle, the product version will not receive any further updates and the support will end. Customers with a maintenance contract can update to the next maintained version.
The Univention Support can be used according to the customer's support contract for currently maintained product versions.
Univention products follow a defined maintenance cycle. New product versions are released on a regular basis and discontinued versions will end a couple of months thereafter. The end of a product version maintenance cycle will be announced in the Univention Forum in the announcement sections of the respective languages.
