This article describes briefly how you can set up a UCC Thinclient from USB-Stick to run your own device.
Prerequisites:

  • UCS DC Master with installed modul UCC

UCC ISO image

There are two possible ways to obtain a UCC ISO image. First you can download a default image from UCC-download page Second you build your own local image according to the UCC-manual. If you build your own custom UCC-image it is important to set the parameter iso during build.

Create Bootable USB-Stick

Find USB-Stick:

sudo fdisk -l

The USB-Stick usually is detected as /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc or /dev/sdf. Copy ISO-File to USB-Stick:

dd if=/path/to/iso-file of=/dev/sdb

Rollout

After the image has been written to disk and the boot medium is started, a boot menu appears. Here, "UCC - Image installation with forced repartition" needs to be selected.
